The Largest Toy Train Meet West of the Rocky Mountains
[ Cal-Stewart Schedule, Location & Services]
Cal-Stewart Southern California is a model train meet sponsored by T.T.O.S. Southwestern Division, a train club whose membership is dedicated to the collecting and operating of vintage and contemporary toy and scale model trains. We are not affiliated with the Toy Train Operating Society. The Cal-Stewart Meet is a two-day (Saturday & Sunday) event where individuals can buy and sell trains, accessories and related toys, and see operating train layouts in action. It is open to all toy train, model train, train and toy enthusiasts and their guests.
Many different operating train layouts of varying sizes and gauges have made their appearance at past Cal-Stewart meets.
A seasoned volunteer staff work out the details, including assigning the 300+ sales and trading tables, setting up the auction area, and coordinating the set-up of the operating train layouts. Though planning is year-round, the actual set-up work begins early Friday morning, so, by the time that the doors open at 9 a.m. Saturday, everything is ready to go.
The Cal-Stewart meet offers a tremendous variety of trains and fun in a spacious setting.
The variety of trains and accessories being sold is amazing! You will find splendid, pre-war Standard gauge trains just waiting to go home with someone. You will see post-World War II 'O', 'H0', 'G' and 'S' gauge trains as well as modern era trains sporting all kinds of electronic whistles and operating command control devices. Also included will be memorabilia, old catalogs and advertising along with extensive small model trains and models of the real prototypes.
The train auctions held each afternoon of the meet draw big crowds of interested hobbyists and collectors. Our experienced volunteers offer a wide variety of both used and new trains for sale to the highest bidder. This is where a buyer can find some great deals.
Tickets are sold all during the two-day event for a prize drawing that will be held on Sunday afternoon. Prizes will be displayed for your review during the meet. They will include boxed train sets as well as individual locomotives and cars.
The Cal-Stewart Train Meet is open to all toy train, model train, train and toy enthusiasts. It always starts with unloading & setup (no trading) on Friday. The trading hall activities begin promptly at 9:00 a. m. on Saturday morning. It is a lot of fun. If you collect, operate or just love trains, our Cal-Stewart train meet is the place to be this November.
